Bloomfield Bandits to hold baseball tryouts

The Bloomfield Bandits, the travel baseball division of the Bloomfield Babe Ruth League, will sponsor travel teams at the 13-, 14- 15- and high school levels this spring.Travel teams will play in the Cerbo Spring Baseball League and/or the Montville Spring League. Elena Bruns, loving wife for 45 years to Roy Bruns, passed away Sunday from heart surgery complications at NYU Medical Center in New York   The Funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 Liberty St. Bloomfield, NJ on Saturday at 10AM. BHS girls' bowling in first place in SEC-Liberty Division

The Bloomfield High School girls’ bowling team was in first place in the Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division as of Jan. 18.Captain Mary Rose Marcaida has a 168 average, and has bowled a 202 during the week.Additionally, senior Francene Occena is averaging a 142.The boys’ varsity bowling team is in third place.
