Vote 'yes' on budget

Last year, the school dipped heavily into its surplus and withdrew nearly $2 million to produce a budget that actually saw taxes decrease ever so slightly. But this year, unable to draw any more from the surplus account, the board raised taxes by $244 on the average home, assessed at $280,300. A tax raise half that last year could have been followed by a similar increase this year.
